چکیده

Abstract Single bubble dynamics are of fundamental importance for understanding the underlying mechanisms in liquid–vapor transition phenomenon known as cavitation. In past years, numerous studies were published and results extrapolated from one technique to another further on “real-world” present paper, we highlight issues using various experimental approaches study cavitation its effects. We scrutinize transients generation behind tension-based energy deposition-based techniques overview physics production. Four vapor methods, which most commonly used single research, directly compared this study: pulsed laser technique, a high- low-voltage spark discharge tube arrest method. Important modifications implemented, demonstrating improvement production range, control repeatability. Results other similar literature, an extensive report topic is given scope work. Simple-to-implement presented categorized herein, order help with future design. Repeatability sphericity produced bubbles examined, well comprehensive subject, listing range highlighting attributes limitation transient techniques. Graphic abstract

Bubble Dynamics and Cavitation in Non-newtonian Liquids

Cavitation phenomena play important roles in many areas of science and engineering. The most interesting effect of the non-Newtonian properties of the liquid is the reduction of cavitation damage and noise. This article reviews experimental and theoretical efforts to understand such phenomena. The currently available information favors a description of the observed reduction of cavitation damag...

On the onset of transient cavitation in gassy liquids

This paper deals with a numerical and experimental study of ultrasound induced cavitation. On the basis of a computational analysis of Gilmore’s equation for the individual bubble dynamics, a slight decrease in the pressure radiated by a single bubble immediately before reaching the transient cavitation regime is predicted. Experiments presented in this paper confirm this observation. Therefore...

Plasma line emission during single-bubble cavitation.

Emission lines from transitions between high-energy states of noble-gas atoms (Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe) and ions (Ar(+), Kr(+), and Xe(+)) formed and excited during single-bubble cavitation in sulfuric acid are reported. The excited states responsible for these emission lines range 8.3 eV (for Xe) to 37.1 eV (for Ar(+)) above the respective ground states. Observation of emission lines allows for ide...

Controlled permeation of cell membrane by single bubble acoustic cavitation.

Sonoporation is the membrane disruption generated by ultrasound and has been exploited as a non-viral strategy for drug and gene delivery. Acoustic cavitation of microbubbles has been recognized to play an important role in sonoporation. However, due to the lack of adequate techniques for precise control of cavitation activities and real-time assessment of the resulting sub-micron process of so...

Cavitation bubble dynamics.

The dynamics of cavitation bubbles on water is investigated for bubbles produced optically and acoustically. Single bubble dynamics is studied with laser produced bubbles and high speed photography with framing rates up to 20.8 million frames per second. Examples for jet formation and shock wave emission are given. Acoustic cavitation is produced in water in the interior of piezoelectric cylind...
